Fisica Dance performance/competition team participation terms & conditions

Thank you so much for your consideration in joining a Fisica Dance performance team.  We would be delighted to dance with you! Before you sign up though, please read through the below team rules designed to ensure everyone gets the very most out of the experience.

• All dancers are expected to attend a minimum of 80% of scheduled rehearsals.  It is the dancer’s responsibility to catch up on any missed content via video, with a teammate or by booking a private lesson in advance of the following class

• A rehearsal schedule and attendance record is available on a google document shared on the team Facebook page - please mark yourself as absent if you are not able to attend as well as communicating this with Sophie

• All relevant team information regarding rehearsals, performances, costumes etc.  is communicated via the team Facebook page. It is your responsibility to read posts and “like” them so I know you have understood the information

• Monday night class attendance is highly encouraged by all team dancers.  Often we will review sections of choreography in class and samba technique is not covered in the choreography course, so please come to class to work on your samba.  If you want to join the competition team, Monday night class attendance is compulsory from July onwards

• Dancers are free to dance with any other amateur or professional group that they wish to at any time providing they are still able to attend all the scheduled Fisca rehearsals

• All choreography is strictly for the purpose of the Fisica team performance and remains the intellectual/artistic property of Fisica Dance.  It is not to be used or adapted for other amateur or professional performances

• All dancers give permission for photographs/video footage taken of them at Fisica Dance Team events to be used in Fisica Dance social media posts and the Fisica Dance website as well as promotional/marketing activity

• All photographs of Fisica dancers in team costumes at team events can be shared on the dancer’s personal social media channels as long as Fisica Dance is acknowledged in the post. Please note,  photographs from any Fisica events are not to be used to promote any other amateur or professional dance group or school

• All courses are to be paid in full (either up front via bank transfer, website payment or via direct debit instalments ) and no refunds or transfers are available for any missed classes over the duration of the course

• Costume payment is to be made in full prior to commencing a performance course

• Dance students and team members acknowledge that with any physical activity there are certain risks involved including the potential for physical injury and illness.  Dance students and team members understand that it is their responsibility to consult with a physician prior to and regarding their participation in any dance or fitness class or course

• Dance students and team members agree to assume full responsibility for any risks, injuries or damage known or unknown which they might incur as a result of participating in dance/fitness classes or courses with Fisica Dance. Dance students and team members knowingly, voluntarily and expressly waive any claim they may have against Fisica Dance and their agents for injury or damages they may sustain as a result of participating in dance or fitness classes or courses.
